Back to Pubs

The Inn on the Docks has worked hard to make the pub what it is today - a friendly pub which caters for a range of tastes and different ages.

Customers are encouraged to bring the whole family.

Regular live entertainment includes live bands; plus the pub is a host of the free Live Pub Poker League (lppl) every Wednesday evening from 7.30pm. Rregister online to play.

Injected with a new lease of life, the Inn on the Docks is now serving food every lunchtime. Plus a 3 course carvery lunch is served every Sunday 12-3pm. Booking advisable to avoid disappointment.

A little bit of history

The Inn on the Docks is unique. Not only is it (we believe) the only pub of that name in the country, but it is also one of the few that is built on stilts.

Standing on the banks of the River Severn, close to Gloucester's historic docks area, the stilts ensure that the pub is safe from the threat of flooding.

The original pub - formerly known as the Sir Colin Campbell - has long since gone and was replaced by the current structure after the Second World War - reputedly in the space of 48 hours.

Reputations, however, take longer to build and The Inn on the Docks has worked hard to make the pub what it is today - a friendly pub which caters for a range of tastes and different ages.
